Aluminium 5083 Alloy
Aluminium 5083 Alloy
What is Aluminium 5083 Alloy
This alloy includes magnesium, aluminium, and very little chromium and manganese. It is very resistant to chemical and marine corrosion.
After welding, alloy 5083 maintains outstanding strength. Its ultimate tensile strength, which is 317 MPa or 46000 psi, and tensile yield strength, which is 228 MPa or 33000 psi, make it the strongest non-heat treated alloy available. The preferred alloy for usage at temperatures above 65 °C is not this one.
Alloy also is known as
Alloy 5083 can also be referred to as the following grades and specifications but they may not always be a direct equivalent.
